Solid or external wall insulation is applied to the outside of homes built typically before 1935 which have solid brick or solid stone walls. The video below shows how this product is installed and the range of finishes that you can from a painted render through to a pebble dash or red brick effect. Grant funding is available for solid wall insulation from Enact Energy and the works would typically cost from £5,000-£10,000 unless you are on a specific benefit which may entitle you to a larger grant.
